Here are pics from Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles display. More info coming tonight!

Feature film coming in 2013 or 2014 done by Paramount, Michael Bay’s production company along with the screenwriters of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

Nickelodeon is committed to the new cartoon through 2015. Got to see some scenes from it and the animation, CGI, is pretty cool and it looks pretty good. Has some moody elements to the art. Jason Biggs voices Leonardo and Sean Astin voices Raphael.

New figures on shelves in August.

The classics line will definately be at TRU and etailers, but hoping to get into other brick & mortar stores. Classics will start with the 4 turtles and expand into others in the future.

The large sewer playset will retail around $100-$120. It will be available through TRU and select Wal-Marts.

Single figures retail around $7.99 to $8.99

9 figure launch in August. Turtles, April, Shredder, Foot, Splinter. Three more coming: Metalhead, Fishface, Dogpound.

33 figures by the end of 2013. Spring 2013 will include: Leatherhead, Stinkweed, Baxter Stockman.

There will be an SDCC exclusive but it will be sold through Nickelodeon.

The TMNT van will retail for $29.99

I’m happy to see the Turtles are heading back to the toy aisles. These don’t do much for me in the photos, but I might fall in love with them when they are up close.

There appears to be two version of the turtles–those in the top pics with limited articulation and those in the last pic, which I’ve seen previewed elsewhere and have more articulation. I wouldn’t mind getting the latter.

There’s a classic line and a new version.  The new version has the more articulation.

I spotted Fishface and Dogpile today. Fun looking figures.
